Your task on Day 18 of the 28 Days of Abundant Practice Challenge is to map out your five-year plan.

Well done for doing yesterday’s task of brainstorming your goals for the next five years.  All you need to do now is allot each goal into the year you want it to be achieved.

When you write your plan, try and write it in the present tense.  This gives the plan a kind of “it has come to pass” air.

So let’s say we’re starting with 2019 as Year 1 and 2023 is Year 5.  Here’s an example of how you could map out your next 5 years.  In this example, you’re married with a daughter and you’re interested in having an accountancy business.

  • Go to the gym once a week
  • Meditate for an hour twice a week
  • Learn to cook one new plant-based meal.  I cook it once a week for Meatless Monday.  I change the meal each month. (twelve plant-based recipes for the year.)
  • Increase my income by 20% by getting a raise or finding a new role
  • Hubby and I go on a date night once a month

  • Another private client is taken on and a virtual bookkeeper is hired
  • My secondary income stream is increased by 100%
  • Meditate for an hour three times a week
  • Read two books a month

2022

  • Dream home is moved into – Yippee!!!

  • Gym is attended once a week, pilates once a week and yoga once a week
  • I meditate for an hour five times a week
  • We go on a family holiday to Ghana – Woo-hoo!!!!
  • A girly sleepover is arranged for my daughter and her friends
  • Three books are read each month
  • Business course is completed

2023

  • We’re now a fully plant-based family
  • Meditate for an hour each day
  • A book is read each week
  • 15 new clients are taken on
  • Another virtual accounts assistant is hired
  • Resigned from main job
  • Family holiday to The Maldives
  • Christmas spent at Claridges
