Being a mother in a leadership role, it can be difficult to manage your time effectively and balance your responsibilities at work and home. However, with the right strategies in place, you can make the most of your time and achieve success in both areas of your life.

I enjoy planning (because I put great stuff in my plans that keep me interested!) and that really helps me to manage my time in a way that’s perfect for my personality type.

Here are some effective time management strategies for working mothers that you might like to try or revisit:

  1. Prioritise your tasks: Make a list of your most important tasks and prioritise them, so you know what needs to be done first.
  2. Create a schedule: Plan out your day, week, and month in advance, and stick to your schedule as much as possible.
  3. Use technology to your advantage: Take advantage of technology, such as calendars, reminders, and productivity apps, to help you stay organised and on track.
  4. Set boundaries: Make sure you set boundaries between work and personal time, so you can focus on each without feeling overwhelmed.
  5. Delegate tasks: Don’t be afraid to delegate tasks to others, such as delegating household chores to family members or delegating work tasks to co-workers.

By implementing these time management strategies, you can take control of your time, increase your productivity, and achieve a better work-life balance as a working mother.  The best plans are the ones you’ll want to use again and again, so remember to tailor what you do to your personality.
