It can be difficult to find a balance between your responsibilities at work and home. However, it’s important to find a balance that works for you, so you can be successful and fulfilled in both areas of your life.

Here are some tips for creating a work-life balance that works for you:

  1. Evaluate your priorities: Take a step back and assess what’s most important to you. This will help you prioritise your time and focus on what really matters.
  2. Set realistic goals: Set realistic and achievable goals for both your work and personal life, and make sure you have a plan for how you’ll reach them.
  3. Be flexible: Be willing to adjust your schedule and priorities as needed, so you can respond to changes and unexpected events.
  4. Take care of yourself: Make sure you’re taking care of yourself, both physically and mentally, so you have the energy and focus to tackle your responsibilities.
  5. Ask for help: Don’t be afraid to ask for help, whether it’s from family members, friends, or co-workers. You don’t have to do everything on your own.

By implementing these tips, you can find a work-life balance that works for you, so you can be successful and fulfilled in both areas of your life.

I’ve always loved planning and have gotten better at Xina-izing them so that they’re filled with fun and relaxation in addition to the vital work that needs to be done.  I really like them.

I used to do simple things like use tube travel as precious time to decompress with a good book or a pleasure-course.  I liked to wash my make-up off as soon as I got home (if I felt like wearing any that day!) and would change straight into my joggers before cooking with a radio play or great music on.

These days, if I’m not coaching I might stay in bed all day to do my admin (oh yes I do, and I love it too! #noguilt).  I still have a great bedtime routine with my youngest son – we read an audio/regular book together for up to an hour and a half just before he goes off to bed.  It’s a great way to wind down and really adds balance to my life.
